Discovery Day Tour - this tour is for those who are short on time and want to fit everything into one action packed day! Ideal for the family group.

Blue Mountains tourFirst stop is the Olympic Park at Homebush Bay. See the tennis centre, hockey fields, swimming centre, main stadium, the super dome and location of the Olympic village. Time available for photos.

Then it is off to Featherdale Wildlife Park - regarded as one of the finest animal parks in Australia. Here you will walk with, touch, feed, see and be photographed with koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, dingos, Tasmanian devils, echidnas, the endangered spotted quoll, emus, penguins, goannas and Nooka the resident saltwater crocodile who is fed every morning at 10.15am.

Also visit the new reptile pavilion and see some of the most venomous snakes in the world. See a great variety of Aussie birds in a very laid back clean environment. Fantastic souvenir shop for those who want to buy some Australian gifts.

Wentworth FallsShort drive to Wentworth Falls at the head of the Jamieson Valley viewed from Princess Rock lookout, a short easy stroll down and back from the parking area. Here is a good example to see the blue haze in the canyons for which these mountains are famous. On the Discovery tour we provide your lunch in the Blackheath Hotel, sit by the fire in the winter or in the garden in summer.

Lunch is hearty and a good range of choices from roast of the day, Lasagne, fish and chips or burgers. Vegetarian meals also available. After lunch we visit Govetts Leap and peer down into the Grose Valley, which is Australia's equivalent to the Grand Canyon. Also see the Bridal Veil Falls, the longest uninterrupted waterfall on the mainland. If time permits we also visit the Shipley Plateau and look west over the Megalong Valley to the Great Dividing Range.

Then its follow the Cliff top drive around past Narrow Neck to the scenic railway. We suggest you ride the Gondola down to the valley floor walk around the board walk to the base of the scenic railway and ride this, the Guinness Book of Records steepest vernacular railway in the world back to the top. Both rides cost $6.00 each way.

A quick ride around to Echo Point to see the 3 sisters up close, then a drive through the centre of Katoomba and head back down to Sydney arriving around 7:00pm.
